Dog Jumping & Excitement Behavior in Austin
Why Do Dogs Jump and How To Stop It
Does your dog jump on guests, strangers, or even family members?
Jumping is natural for dogs, but unchecked excitement can be stressful, unsafe, and frustrating.
Our premium Board & Train programs teach dogs calm greetings, self-control, and polite behavior — even in high-energy situations.
Serving Austin, Round Rock & surrounding areas.
Why Dogs Jump and Become Excitable
Dogs often jump or get overly excitable because of:
Overstimulation or high energy
Lack of boundaries or impulse control
Learned reinforcement from owners (laughing, petting)
Anxiety or nervous energy
Understanding the cause allows us to develop a personalized training plan.
How Our Board & Train Program Works
We focus on teaching alternative, calm behaviors rather than just stopping the jumping:
Structured greetings with professional guidance

How long does your Board & Train program last?
Our Board & Train programs typically range from 2–6 weeks depending on your dog’s behavior, age, and training goals. Severe aggression or anxiety cases may require additional time to ensure safe, lasting results.
Will my dog listen to me after training?
Yes. Owner transfer is a critical part of our program. We provide hands-on training sessions so you understand how to maintain structure, reinforce commands, and confidently handle your dog at home.
How much does your Board & Train program cost?
Our premium Board & Train programs range from $2,500 to $5,500 depending on the severity of the behavior and length of training required. We discuss exact pricing after evaluating your dog.
Is my dog too old (or too far gone) to be trained?
No. While early training is ideal, dogs of all ages can learn with the right structure and consistency. We’ve successfully worked with older dogs and those with long-standing behavior issues by creating clear boundaries, rebuilding confidence, and implementing a consistent training system.
